What is Sojourn press?
We are a collective of passionate gamers seeking to give something back to the tabletop gaming community. We have a blog where we plan to have regular updates every weekday including Saturday. We are currently working on several supplements for the Pathfinder RPG system. Other projects coming soon include a biweekly podcast about topics from the blog, a Campaign setting, Adventure Modules, and a card game. Start the Journey with us now!
Sojourn Press is…
Keith “Keethor” Byrd
Gaming in all forms has always interested me. Thing about it I like the most is getting to explore worlds that I couldn’t experience otherwise. My first experience in gaming was when I was 13 at a boy scout trip. Since then I have been gaming off an on since then. Since graduating college and joining the workforce my time to gaming has been extremely limited. I have been lucky enough to have a steady group for 2 years. I believe all games are equal, except for Rifts, that shit was a mess. But I digress, now being with Sojourn Press is going to let me get the chance create games for other gamers. This hobby has positively shaped me into the person I am today and I want to give back to the hobby as much as possible. Current projects also include “Kicked in the Dicebags: players edition” RPG Podcast.
Caleb T. Gordon
Growing up, I have always had an active imagination and a desire to create fantasy worlds. When I was 12, I found my opportunity in a local game store when I bought one of the last AD&D box sets to ever be released. My brother and I took it home and soon I was sharing my new-found hobby with friends. From there it has been a journey of imagination and creation as I either ran a game or played one. Most of my games have completely self written, and by the time I became hooked on the Pathfinder RPG I was writing rules material for my games. Now, a desire to share my worlds with the gaming community, to inspire new generations of gamers, and to be part of the evolution of gaming has driven me to participate with my friends to bring you this great blog and gaming project.
I first encountered the mighty RPG when my friend Caleb picked up a D&D starter box for his eleventh (or was it twelfth? he seems to think so…) birthday—convincing his friends to play through it for the party. Not too long after, the monolith of Final Fantasy VII landed on American shores, finally breaking console RPGs into the mainstream, and things would never quite be the same (though, for the record, I played Breath of Fire III before FFVII). Since then, I have been a constant player of computer-, console-, and tabletop RPGs. Having run (and played in) numerous campaigns over the years, I’m also a great proponent of co-operative game mastery.
I’m currently having a blast running (for the first time) a campaign based on one of the great Pathfinder APs—and learning a lot in the process; I hope to share some of the lessons I’ve learned (and am learning now).
In addition to gaming (of various kinds), I currently work in a public library, and play in a band.
